Final Fantasy XIV


Synopsis

Final Fantasy XIV (Fourteen) is the 14th installment to the Final Fantasy series. It was announced in 2005 under codename Rapture, at the time is was unknown if Rapture would be a sequel to Final Fantasy XI, or even related to Final Fantasy at all.

Final Fantasy XIV was announced on June 2nd 2009 at E3 to be released as a Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive, and later was announced to also be released for Windows. Final Fantasy XIV will use the game engine built by Square Enix called Crystal Tools, the same engine used for Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
